Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) access in Cheshire and Merseyside

The new weight management medication ‘Tirzepatide’ (brand name Mounjaro®) is shortly being made available to NHS patients to support weight loss.

NHS Cheshire and Merseyside is currently in the process of establishing new community-based weight management services, which are set to launch this summer.

They are working as quickly as possible to make these services available across Cheshire and Merseyside and will update their website and share information with local partners as soon as the new service is active.

Please don’t contact your GP Practice before we confirm the new service is available in this area, as we won’t be able to refer you. You can contact the new out of hours service direct on 01270273666 (outside of normal surgery opening hours only). You will be dealt with initially by a Triage Nurse and directed to the appropriate health professional.
Please note: this is not a drop-in centre and will only deal with urgent cases which need immediate attention.
